World Jewish Congress Calls Upon All Jews to Render Aid to Israel

The 90 Jewish leaders from countries on every continent attending the World Jewish Congress executive meeting here adopted today a resolution calling on “all Jewish communities to rally to the State of Israel, to increase immigration, and to render it all possible economic and political help. “

The WJC resolution recorded Israel’s “wonderful achievements” in science, education and culture; sent greetings to the Defense Army of Israel, “the faithful guardian of the Jewish State” ; expressed sorrow that there is still no peace between Israel and the Arab states after ten years; voiced disquiet over the great quantities of American and Soviet arms which have poured into the Arab states, and lined itself in partnership with the “great objectives” of Israel, calling upon the Jewish communities of the world to do likewise.
