Yaacov Hasson, a Chilean Jewish leader, died suddenly of a heart attack. The death of Hasson, who was in his early 60s, came as he was giving instructions to delegates to a meeting of the Latin American Jewish Congress slated to be held in Santiago, Chile. After Hasson’s death, the meeting was canceled.
