Condemning the “vindictiveness and savagery” of the Nazi Government, Dr. Franklin Edgerton, Professor of Sanskrit and Comparative Philology at Yale University, has resigned as a corresponding member of the Bavarian Academy of Arts and Sciences in protest against the Reich Government’s order to German academies to purge their membership of all “non-Aryans.”
