Yitzhak Mordechai met Sunday with Jordan’s King Abdullah. Mordechai, one of the prime ministerial candidates in Israel’s upcoming May 17 elections, informed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of his trip, which came at the invitation of the Jordanian monarch. A Jordanian official was quoted by Israel Radio as saying the visit does not indicate that Amman is not getting involved in the Israeli election process.
