Minister of the Interior Wilhelm Frick issued new regulations prohibiting the enrolment in the police force not only of persons who are of Jewish origin but even of those who do not look like Aryans despite the fact that they may be able to prove conclusively that they are of pure Aryan stock.
The announcement by the Minister declared that all applicants for the police force must, in addition to the certificates of origin (proving that they are of Aryan stock) now demanded, also submit to a physical examination which will establish their racial antecedents. Only true Aryan types will be enrolled as policemen or as police officers in the future.
An official communique issued by the Health Ministry stressed recent announcements by Minister of the Interior Frick in which he warned German youths to observe their racial purity in the choice of mates, because mixed marriages were the reason for “spiritual and mental degeneration.”
Every German youth, the Health Ministry communique declared, must consider it his sacred duty to maintain the purity of the German race.
