The ten-day sessions of the World Zionist Actions Committee, the ruling executive body of the World Zionist Organization, which just concluded its sessions in Jerusalem, were fruitful and constructive in terms of work accomplished, declared Abraham A. Redelheim, president of the Zionist Organization of America upon his return from Israel.
Reporting on the outcome of the sessions, Mr. Redelheim pointed to the four main issues which were discussed and acted upon by the Actions Committee. He listed these as: 1. The adoption of a budget of IL 235, 395, 000 for the current year starting April 1; 2. The plans to broaden the Zionist movement by the affiliation of non-Zionist and Jewish groups and organizations; 3. The decision to convene the 25th World Zionist Congress in the summer, 1960, and to re-organize the basis of representation at the Congress. “These decisions will undoubtedly have a decisive impact on the future of the Zionist movement,” he said.
