The convention of the Palestine General Zionists closed here after adopting a series of resolutions calling for peace within the Zionist movement, a coalition executive and the unity of all Zionist factions. The convention went on record as opposing the proposed legislative council and the immigration policy of the Palestine government.
The peace pact signed by David Ben Gurion and Vladimir Jabotinsky was hailed by the convention.
Discipline and unity in the ranks of the General Zionists in the face of present conditions, were called for by M. M. Ussishkin, venerable Zionist leader and president of the ewish National Fund in an address before the convention. In the course of a half-hour speech, he analyzed conditions in and affecting the Zionist movement and pleaded for unity in the ranks. Dr. Ben-Zion Mossensohn also spoke against establishment of a new labor federation in Palestine.
