The new website Awesome People Hanging Out Together is exactly what it sounds like–it’s a collection of photographs of memorable or unlikely pairings of famous or noteworthy folks. And, though not all of the people on the site are Jewish, there’s a healthy–and unexpected–representation from the Tribe.
The 4-foot-7-inch tall Dr. Ruth hangs out with Shaquille O’Neal, who’s 7’1″. Bob Dylan poses with Muhammad Ali and Allen Ginsberg. Sammy Davis, Jr. gets a few entries. And Albert Einstein gets several mentions on the site–including a photo taken with Charlie Chaplin (above).
Awesome People is by no means an authoritative catalogue, but it isn’t meant to be. Clicking through this website is like introducing two good friends–and finding out that they already know each other.
