JERUSALEM (JTA) — Three Israeli youths were arrested reportedly as part of an investigation into a Jewish terror cell.
The details of the investigation, which is a joint endeavor of the Israel Security Agency, or Shin Bet, and the nationalistic crime unit of the Israel Police, and the arrests, reported on Sunday, are under a gag order.
Two of the youths were arrested at or near their yeshiva in the northern West Bank and a third was arrested in Modiin.
The Honenu legal aid organization told Israeli media outlets that one of the arrested youths is a minor and that he had been prevented from meeting with a lawyer.
In recent weeks there have been several vandalism attacks on Palestinian villages in the West Bank. In October, a Palestinian woman was killed after Jewish settlers allegedly threw rocks at the vehicle she was riding in.
