In Jerusalem, Syrian rebel calls for new gov’t to make peace with Israel

Syrian rebels should make peace with Israel in return for support in overthrowing the current Syrian government, a prominent Syrian rebel said.

All United Nations peacekeeping forces and support staff have been relocated from the Syrian side of the Golan Heights to Israel.

A rocket fired in Syria as part of that country’s civil war struck Israel near the Golan Heights border.
