The Kiev municipality’s decision to build a hotel on the site of the Babi Yar massacre memorial has alarmed Ukraine’s Jewish community.

Vandals defaced the front door of The Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society in the Ukrainian capital of Kiev with Nazi symbols.

Some 25,000 Jews from all over the world are expected to make the annual pilgrimage to the central Ukrainian city of Uman.
