Jewish lawmaker in Antwerp calls on government to fund security

The politician’s demand seeking the $1 million annual cost comes in the wake of a stabbing of an Orthodox Jew in Antwerp.

The victim, 32, was stabbed in the upper body, reportedly by a Palestinian youth who fled the scene, and taken to a city hospital.

A former house guest was charged in the fatal stabbing of Ronald Fischman, an ordained cantor, in Fischman’s Philadelphia home.
