Court proceedings have been started against the former Minister of Justice, Count Vasczeni, one of the few outstanding liberals and friend of the Jews in the public life of Hungary. The mover of the charges is the present minister of Justice, Gani.
The real backers of the suit is the anti-Semitic group generally, which contends that both in and out of Parliament, Vasczeni maligns them unmercifully and they allege unjustly for their anti-Semitism.
