Mme. Ornstein, Jewish poetess and patriot of Poland has been presented with a double war crossdecoration by the Polish President.
The honor was conferred for Mme. Ornstein’s services in liberating Poland. She took a leading part in the movement to organize Polish legions during the war. She is a grandchild of the noted Lublin “gaon” who was characterized as “Der Eisener Kopf” because of his masterful personality.
