A Congress official in close touch with immigration legislation denied today the report that the immigration question will not be considered at the next session of Congress.
“Let no one make this mistake”, it was stated. “The present immigration law expires on June 30, 1924, and it is absolutely certain that at least a resolution will be submitted and passed extending the present law.
“It is even more probable, however, that some legislation will be enacted changing the existing law. It is true the Congressional calendar may be congested but the immigration question is too important to be ignored next session”, this official asserts.
