The cities of Dwinsk, Mitau and Friedrichstadt have been flooded by the overflow of the Rivers Duna and Aa. Many houses and other property have been completely wiped out, and a number of persons have lost their lives. The poor Jewish suburbs of Dwinsk, Gajok and Grihwa, have been most affected, and the panic-stricken population are fleeing from their homes. The city of Riga is in danger of the floods continue.
