Jewish Passengers Killed on Russian Boat; Bodies Thrown into Water

A pogrom on Jewish passengers on a Russian boat in the river Djesna, between Makoshin and Nowgorod Bewjersk, resulting in fifteen known deaths, is reported here form Soviet Russia.

An organized band attacked the boat and picked out the Jewish passengers, leaving the non-Jews alone. Terrible scenes took place, and after the brutal killing of the Jewish passengers, their bodies were thrown into the water. So far, fifteen bodies have been recovered.
