The famous Shylock of the Comedie Francaise, Demax, a Roumanian Jew, is reported to be lying dangerously ill in Algeria.

The French public is much concerned over the illness of the great actor. Telegraphic bulletins are published by the newspaper to keep the public informed as to Demax’s condition.
