Jascha Heifetz who is scoring a triumphal success through the West refused a three thousand dollar engagement for Wednesday afternoon, having promised to play for the patients in the Sanatorium of the Jewish Consumptive Relief Association near Los Angeles. Heifetz played for nearly two hours before the sick men and women.
