Sejm Unanimously Elects Jew to Supreme State Tribunal

Prof. Hoses Alerhand, of Lemberg, has been unanimously elected by the Sejm a member of the Supreme State Tribunal. The other seven members on the Tribunal are Poles, the Jews being the only minority group now represented on it.

The Supreme State Tribunal is the ultimate judiciary body of Poland, and has the power to pass upon the constitutionality of Sejm legislation.
