The tithe, the Biblical form of taxation practiced in Palestine for many centuries by the Turkish Government, a method of taxation according to which one tenth of the crops is taken by the government in kind, be abolished and instead a modern system of taxation in cash introduced.
This demand was submitted by the Executive of the Palestine Arabs in a memonandum to the Palestinian Government.
