Roumanian Zionist Conference Not to Be Held; Government Fears Disturbances

The Roumanian Zionist Conference which was to have been held in Galatz in the first week of November, with the participation of Mr. Nahum Sokolow, President of the Zionist Executive, has been postponed to an indefinite date owing to the withdrawal of permission by the Ministry of the Interior. The Ministry gives as its reason that it fears the Conference may provoke anti-Semitic disturbances.
