A denial of the report of the occurence of anti-Semitic riots in Moscow was issued by the Soviet embassy here. A statement issued by the embassy declared that a reply to an enquiry directed by the embassy to Moscow stated that the report was unfounded and that no disturbances had occurred.

Nathan Philips and Samuel Factor were elected aldermen and Joseph M. Gordon, a member of the Board of Education, in the Toronto, Canada, municipal elections.
