A new Sephardic settlement of Jews from Georgia, Turkey and Bulgaria has been established in Saidun on the Jaffa-Jerusalem line. It consists of a group of 15 families, who possess some capital of their own, and count on additional support from the Keren Hayesod. The Agricultural Department of the Zionist Executive granted them £ 300 from Keren Hayesod funds for the purchase of seed and will advance larger sums if sufficient water is found. Boring for water is proceeding.
Twelve Georgian families from the Caucasus arrived and were sent to Petach Tikvah, where they are being supplied with quarters by the Keren Hayesod.
