The first performance here of the “Dybbuk” by the players of the Moscow Hebrew Theatre, Habimah, was given last night.

The performance was directed by Michael Kachouk. The theatre was crowded and Jewish and Polish intellectural leaders were present, including theatrical critics of the Polish and Jewish press. The performance was received with great enthusiasm.

The Habimah players will remain in Warsaw for two weeks and will then leave for a two months’ tour through Poland.

Dr. Klumel greeted the Habimah players on behalf of a reception committee. A banquet was given by the Hebrew society, Tarbuth, following the performance.

The English version of the “Dybbuk” given by the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York, is based on the Habimah production.
