Jewish students at the Roumanian universities will be excluded from the anatomical clinics of the medical schools if the Jewish communities will not furnish a corresponding number of Jewish corpses for dissection, according to a bill passed by the Roumanian parliament.

Rabbi Zirelsohn of Kishineff, member of the Roumanian Parliament for Bessarabia, during the discussion on the bill charged the Roumanian government with tolerating anti-Jewish excesses carried on by the student followers of Cuza. “Jews were beaten, houses destroyed, synagogues ransacked and cemeteries desecrated,” the Rabbi declared. He concluded his address demanding that a Commission of inquiry be appointed to investigate the situation.
