New elections to the Lithuanian Sejm will take place on May 8th and 9th, according to a decree issued by the president of the Lithuanian Republic.

A united Jewish list, instead of contesting Jewish groups, is being planned by Jewish leaders. It is expected that if a united Jewish list is presented, seven or eight Jewish deputies will be elected.
