(Jewish Telegraphic Agency)

The Committee of Jewish Delegations has submitted to the counsel for the defense of Sholom Schwartzbard, a copy of the memorandum which the Committee submitted to the Secretary General of the League of Nations on December 8, 1919.

The memorandum contains a full description of the pogroms which took place in the Ukraine, the names of all the commanders in the army of Semion Petlura who were responsible for the massacres. The memorandum also contains the text of the protests issued against the pogroms, signed by leading French authors and statesmen.

It is stated that funds to cover the expenses of Schwartzbard’s defense are available.
