(Jewish Telegraphic Agency)

Professor Henry Newman and Dr. Maurice Hexter, representatives of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, who stopped in Poland to make a survey of the condition of Polish Jewry, left for Soviet Russia following a series of conferences with the leaders of the Jewish social institutions in Warsaw.

In the course of their stay here, Dr. Hexter and Professor Newman visited a number of Jewish educational institutions, making a study of orphans’ homes and medical institutes which are supported by the Kinderfreund Association. They also examined the method of distribution of the relief funds of the Joint Distribution Committee.
