The French Government has conferred the Legion ### Honor on M. Jacob Chewla, a Jewish manufacturer here. The whole Jewish population is gratified at the honor conferred on a member of its community. In order to celebrate the occasion M. Chewla was given a banquet here at which both the Bey of Tunis and the French Resident General were represented.
