The Prime Minister of the Transjordanian government resigned from his post, according to a report published by the Arab paper, “Al Carmel.”

The reason for the resignation was given as a protest against the action of the British authorities at Amman, who arrested the Syrian rebel Sheik Khalili and sent him to Jerusalem for trial by the Palestine high court. The Transjordanian government demanded that the Sheik be tried by the Tranajordanian court.
