All police chiefs in Roumanian towns were ordered to take strict measures against those who disturb the public order.
These orders have not dispelled the fears of the Jewish population.
It became known today that following the anti-Jewish student excesses, police officials urged the Jewish victims to sign papers that the excesses were committed by hooligans and not by students and that they received redress for the damages suffered. The Jews, however, refused to sign such papers. No redress was made for the damages.
