The protest against the anti-Jewish excesses in Roumania, addressed by the Kehillah Counsel of Warsaw, to the League of Nations was acknowledged by Eric Colban, head of the National Minorities Department of the League.
Mr. Colban is expected to arrive in Warsaw shortly for the purpose of studying the situation of the national minorities.
It was stated today that the Club of Jewish Deputies intends to ask Mr. Colban for an explanation of his recent reply to the protest of the Club of Jewish Deputies concerning the anti-Jewish excesses in Roumania. In the reply to the Club, the department declared that it was unable to accept the protest because of the sharp tone in which it was couched.
