Russian Jew Gets Prize for Best German Drama

The prize for the best German drama awarded by the Gocthe Bund and the Schauspielhaus of Bremen was given to Dr. Steinberg, a Russian Jew.

The prize was awarded Dr. Steinberg for a play, “Der Dorn Weg.” Dr. Steinberg is a nephew of the late Yiddish critic, Dr. Isidore Eliashev, known under the pen name Baal Machshovoth. Dr. Steinberg is also known as one of the leaders of the Russian Social Revolutionary Party.
