Hungarian Athletes Seek Instruction of Ted (kid) Lewis

Ted (Kid) Lewis, English Jewish boxer and ex-welter-weight champion of the world may lend the benefit of his experience to Hungarian boxers. It was said today that the Hungarian Boxing Federation is negotiating with the Jewish fighter to assume charge of a Hungarian team which is to prepare for the European championship fight to be held in Berlin in May.

Art furnishings from the London house of the Marquis of Reading brought $22,165 at auction. Saturday afternoon in the Anderson Galleries. The best price was $1,550 for a Queen Anne burl walnut bureau bookcase made about 1700. Mrs. M. D. Morrissey, who bought it, got also an Adam sideboard of 1790 for $575.

Further sales of Lord Reading’s collections will be held Thursday and Friday evenings at the Anderson Galleries.
