The immediate dissolution of the Sejm and the proclamation of a military dictatorship which should rescind the present constitution of the country and put an end to the Parliamentary system, is demanded in today’s issue of the official organ of the Fascist Party of Lithuania, which was responsible for the recent military revolution in the country.
The paper also publishes an article in which regret is expressed that the former President of Lithuania M. Slexevica, the Minister for the Interior M. Faszila, and the Jewish Sejm Deputy M. Finkelstein were not shot as soon as the new regime was proclaimed.
JEWISH WOMEN URGE ARBITRATION WITH MEXICO
A resolution urging President Coolidge to declare for arbitration of the difficulties existing between the United States and Mexico was adopted at the annual meeting of the Board of Managers of the National Council of Jewish Women.
Mrs. Joseph E. Friend of New Orleans, President of the organization, presided at the sessions, which will continue until today.
Reports laid special stress on vocational work for Jewish girls in the United States and Canada. During the last three years $3,500,000 has been disbursed by the organization.
New appointments include those of Mrs. M. L. Margolis of Philadelphia, Chairman of Vocational Guidance and Employment; Mrs. Nathan Eisenmann of New Orleans, Chairman of Finace and Budget; Mrs. A. S. Kohler of Savannah, Ga., Chairman of Religious Education, and Mrs. Leonard B. Schloss of Washington, Chairman of the Department of Juniors.
