The decrease in the volume of Jewish immigration to Palestine was the subject of a question directed to the Secretary of the Colonies in the House of Commons yesterday.
The question was raised by Rev. James Barr, laborite, who asked for the reason of the emigration from Palestine of 7,340 Jews during the year 1926 as against 13,056 who entered the country during the year.
Col. Amery, replying to the question stated that this situation was “doubtless due to unemployment.”
