Further light on the methods employed by Col. Lytton Ament in his investigation of the Jewish situation in Roumania was thrown by Deputy Mayer Ebner, writing in the “Ostjuedischc Zcitung” here.

Deputy Ebner states that Col. Ament does not understand a single word of Roumanian or German. He asked his questions in English and received his replies through a Roumanian official interpreter. He was surrounded by Roumanian officials at all times and never spoke to any of the Jewish leaders in private.
