All branches of the Arbeiter Ring, Jewish socialist fraternal order in session here, were urged by the convention to contribute liberally toward the Red Cross Fund for the relief of the Mississippi flood victims. The amount of $1,000 was contributed by the convention yesterday. This sum was sent to the Cleveland branch of the Red Cross.

A great deal of discussion at the convention was caused by the split existing between the right and left wings of the order. The question will be taken up again during the sessions.

The progress of the Arbeiter Ring Schulen, the Yiddish schools maintained by the organization, was reported by N. Chanin of the Educational Committee.
