A statement issued by the police of Recklinghausen removed the last shadow of doubt as to the falschood of the ritual murder accusation fostered by the anti-Semitic press during the past year.

A year ago the body of an eight year old Christian boy was found in the town. Immediately, anti-Semitic agitators, supported by a section of press, put forward ritual murder accusations, claiming that signs of ritual slaughtering were found on the body.

The statement of the police establishes the fact that the death of the boy was the result of a sexual murder.
