The participation of British Jewry in the Jewish Agency, along lines similar to those of the Marshall-Weizmann pact, will soon be nearer realization, according to an announcement made Sunday by D’ Avigdor Goldsmid, president of the Board of Jewish Deputies, at the monthly meeting of the Board yesterday.

Mr. Goldsmid reminded the deputies that in April 1923, the Board decided to form a joint committee with the Zionist Organization to consider the participation of British Jews in the Jewish Agency. This committee met in 1924 but the question was left in abeyance until the participation of American Jewry would have been settled. This has now come about and further progress in England is expected shortly, he stated.
