Norwegian Government Hesitates to Enact Schechita Prohibition

The prohibition against Schechita, the Jewish method of slaughtering animals, has not yet become a law, notwithstanding the fact that a bill to this effect was passed by parliament recently.

The Norwegian government is withholding its enactment until the bill passes the final stages of parliamentary procedure.
