Jewish Consumptives’ Relief Society Opens 23rd Annual Convention

With over 300 delegates representing its contributors throughout the country attending, the Jewish Consumptives’ Relief Society of Denver, will open its twenty-third annual convention here tomorrow.

The convention is in the nature of a celebration as the progress of the Society was recounted from its establishment with an initial fund of $1.10 to its present institution representing an investment of nearly $2,500,000.

Among the speakers will be Prof. Allan K. Krause of Johns Hopkins University, tuberculosis expert, who will read a paper on “The Jew and Tuberculosis”; Dr. Philip Hillkowitz, president of the Society, and Dr. C. D. Spivak, secretary.

Rabbi Nathan Krass of Temple Emanu-El, New York, will be the principal speaker at the convention banquet.
