Felix M. Warburg and Sir Alfred Mond Visualize 10-year Palestine Program

Felix M. Warburg and Sir Alfred Mond, two of the leading members of the Jewish Agency Palestine Survey Commission, outlined their views of the future work in the upbuilding of Palestine, in addresses delivered at a luncheon given by the Zionist Executive in honor of Felix M. Warburg. upon his arrival here from a trip to Palestine and Russia.

The luncheon look place today, following a meeting of the Executive in which Mr. Warburg participated and was attended by Sir Herbert Samuel, Sir Alfred Mond. James de Rothschild. Bernard Baron, Mr. Hirst, Otto Schiff. Pinchas Ruttenberg and the members of the Zionist Executive. Dr. Chaim Weizmann presided.

Mr. Warburg. who alluded to a ten year program for Palestine upbuilding work. said that he was greatly impressed upon his second visit to Palestine. “This visit has strengthened the impressions of my carlier visit which I made during the administration of Sir Herbert Samuel,” he said.

“I just returned from Crimea and from Palestine. My grandmother used to say, Never make comparisons. so I am not going to drow a company on between the Jewish work in Palestine and in Crimea Ecomomic and agmcultural development can be conductod is Jews anywhere, but only Palesine is able to combine economic achievernments with a spiritual rebirth. Palestine has been the home of our ancestors, and I have seen with my own eyes the great progress of agricultural and spiritua lite in Palestine for which the ### sity stands as a shining example. Mr. Warburg stated.

The speaker complimented Mr. Ruttenberg who. he said, has spread electric light and power in Palestine.

“I rejoice to know that the first group of experts of the Jewish Agency Palestine Survey Commission is already in Palestine. Their report would certainly give an account of the agricultural and other undertakings and formulate a plan which could be carred out for the next ten years. I am surt that the Commision will be able to provide a program of economic work in which Jewty can unite in order to carp it out during the next ten years it is unnecessary to pay much attention to pessimiste unteroper not trouble ## self to correct Statements which wan dering journalists put in one’s mo?
