Tranquility in the University of Vienna can be restored only if conditions demanded by the anti-Semitic students will be granted.

This was learned today when the German student body submitted a memorandum to the University Senate in which it states that it can guarantee peace only when a numerus clausus will be introduced against foreign Jewish students and if the Socialist Students Federation will not admit Jews as members.

The anti-Semitic student riots which continued in Vienna for several days claimed a toll of one death yesterday. Professor Fromm, member of the faculty of biochemistry, died from an attack of heart failure due to excitement during the riots.
