City Official Condemn Anti-semitic Attack on Three Jewihs Internes

Asserting their clients were convicted through the efforts of the Invisible Empire of the Ku Klux Klan, attorneys filed a writ of habeas corpus in Supreme Court asking the release of Byran Dunn and his brother, W. Robert Dunn.

The petition charges that District Judge Cline, who presided at the trial of the brothers on a charge of killing Deputy Sheriff Duhon, was a charter member of the Klan. J. Horace Lyons, Sheriff, and E. Claude House, Clerk of the Court, also are named as charter members of the Invisible Empire.

Eighteen Jewish students were among the 449 awarded degrees at the commencement exercises of Princeton University yesterday. Among the 143 Williams University graduates seven are Jewish. The graduating class at Amherst included seven Jewish students.

Eighty Jewish students were graduated from Yale University, receiving degrees of Bachelor of Arts, Science and Philosophy.

Theodore Rosenwald. founder of the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies and President of the Hebrew Orphan Asylum, who died on April 9 last, bequeathed $3,500 to those institutions and left the rest of his estate, after bequests of $3,000 to three sisters and a brother, to his two sons.
