Definite assurances that measures will be taken to prevent the reoccurrence of the violation of Jewish holidays were given by the Zionist Executive and the administration of the Jewish National Fund.
The statements were issued in reply to protests voiced at public meetings held in Jerusalem and Tel-Aviv under the auspices of the Mizrachi Orthodox Zionist Organization.
DR. STEPHEN S. WISE LEAVES FOR EUROPE
Dr. and Mrs. Stephen S. Wise left for Europe yesterday on the “President Harding”, their first objective being Paris.
Dr. Wise’s chief work this summer will be in connection with the Conference on Jewish Rights which has been convened by the Committee of Jewish Delegations and the American Jewish Congress, of which Dr. Wise is president.
Dr. Wise will also be active in the Zionist Congress at Basle, beginning August 30th.
