A “Jewish issue” occupied the attention of the leaders of the German Republic during the sessions of the Reichsrat.

At one of the sessions of the Reichsrat last week Herr Keudell, Minister of the Interior, attacked Dr. Hermann Badt, well-known German Jewish leader, who holds the position of Ministerial Director and is by reason of his office a member of the Reichsrat. He charged that the proceedings of the Reichsrat are of grave importance to the German Republic and that their secrecy is imperative. Dr. Badt, he charged, would violate the secrecy of the proceedings.

At yesterday’s meeting of the Reichsrat, Herr Braun, Prime Minister of the Prussian Government, took vigorous eception to these charges. The Prime Minister guaranteed the most complete loyalty of Dr. Badt.
