Vladimir Jabot-insky, was severely criticised by the Paris Yiddish daily, “Hajnt” for his attitude toward the defense of Sholom Schwartzbard.

Jabotinsky published an article in the current issue of his Russian weekly, “Razsviet.” In this article he demands that M. Torres permit another attorney to participate in the defense of Schwartzbard, arguing that Torres, being the sole defender of Schwartzbard, will harm him and the Jewish people in view of the fact that be as a pro-Bolshevist will develop the argument from this viewpoint and not along anti-pogrom lines.

The “Hajnt” states that this argument has already been taken into account by those who asked Torres to undertake the defense.

At a meeting of the newly-formed Associated Jewish Cemeteries of Cook County steps were taken to end the vandalism rampant for the last six months in Forest Park, a suburb of Chieago in which are located all of the Jewish cemeteries; and also to curb the practice of begging that has grown up.

A state charter was applied for by the association. Its officers are Jacob S. Gray, ehairman; I. C. Bernstein, vice chairman: L. Shapiro, secretary and Josenh Feinberg, treasurer.

The Millville. N. J. Hebrew Association has completed plans and is ad. vertising for bids for a new syna##.
