Professor Guido Adler, internationally recognized authority in the field of music pedagogy, retired from active service, having been named Professor Emeritus of the University of Vienna.

Professor Adler recently celebrated his 72nd birthday. Together with Chrisonder and Spitt, he established a quarterly review for the science of music. He is also the author of the well known works, “Style in Music,” and “Handbook for Music Science.” Professor Adler is the scion of a well known Jewish family and is an observant Jew.
